Advance Installs Second Micronic Laser System Large-Area Mask Writer - The MP80 +

Offers Advanced Capabilities, Throughput and Larger Imaging Area

Advance has installed Micronic Laser Systems' MP80+ Large-Area Mask Writer. The MP80+ is the second large-area mask writer the company has purchased in the last three years, reinforcing its committment to the large-area photomask manufacturing marketplace.

In 1998, the company purchased and installed Micronic Laser Systems' LRS-600 Large Area Mask Writer. The LRS-600 accepts emulsion and hard surface plates up to 24" x 24" and is capable of writing images with a minimum feature size of 6 microns.

The MP80+ offers improved throughput and enhanced capabilities including a 3 micron minimum feature size and a 32" x 32" plate size. Both systems accept GDS II, DXF, Gerber, Mann, MEBES, E-Mask, DWG and Postscript data formats.

Advance Purchases LUMINA High Precision, Large Format Mask Inspection and Measuring System From J*MAR Precision Systems, Inc.

Advance has purchased J*MAR Precision Systems LUMINA Large Format, High Precision Measuring and inspection System. This fully automatic system combines unparalleled accuracy and reliability for inspecting and measuring photomasks up to 20" x 24". The system will be used to QC photomasks generated off the company's Micronic Large Area Mask Writer.
